Excuse me gentlemen, but I have to take a minute to address my ladies…my fellow single ladies that is. A friend of mine is always saying that it’s important that we “embrace your singleness” and I can completely relate to her point of view. Find purpose in your life, that way you will be ready to contribute to a partnership. I always say that I am looking for a man to compliment, not complete me. I know who I am, I have proven that I can stand strong, and over the years I have proven I am much stronger than I ever expected. I had two parents in my home, yet I watched my mother hold things down when my dad was going through. I watched the strength of my grandmother…my aunts. I have had such good examples that I could not help but to realize the strength within myself…but it is something about hearing a man give pearls of wisdom such as this that does not sit well with me…
No I am not talking about the New Orleans Saints…
Yet I am referring to Saint Valentine’s Day, asking Who dat? Who dat? Who dat gon’ be my valentine?
Will you be mine?
The question seems simple, yet it’s quite complicated.
