In the Beginning…
I did not know what to write. Would this article be a confession of the love I had given to the wrong black men? Or would it be “Calling It Out” to all the sistahs who want to love a black man? Hmmmm…I finally came to a compromise. I will call it out, and “it” being “me.”
surely no one living in the continental united states is unaware of a phenomenon where african-american males (and sometimes females) are stopped in their daily activities by law enforcement officers for no apparent reason. because of the numerous occurrences of such behavior, the term, “driving while black,” was created.
i wonder if the term applies elsewhere…
